About Us

In 2004, Constance Nielsen graduated summa cum laude from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree. She graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2007 and was called to the Bar in Ontario in June 2008.  

During Law School, Constance Nielsen worked at a legal aid clinic practicing family law and also worked for a downtown family law firm doing research and updating a seminal text on children and the law. Constance articled exclusively in Family law and has been practicing exclusively Family Law since her call to the Bar.  

She possesses strong skills in family law litigation but also has a demonstrated commitment to assisting clients in resolving matters outside of court in a dignified and client-focused manner. Constance provides honest and frank advice and helps generate creative options for clients.  

She is pragmatic in her advice and always engages clients in a cost-benefit analysis where appropriate to do so.

Constance is collaboratively law-trained and believes in incorporating a collaborative approach in all files. Her interest in family law stems from her enjoyment of the practice of contract and property law, combined with the human elements in family law.  

She believes in working towards ameliorating individual person’s experiences within the family law system.

Presently, Constance is a sole practitioner lawyer running her own Family Law firm. Constance is the proud mother of three children and enjoys camping, biking, book club, and brunch.
